Animals Are Back At Kingsbury

Animal friends return to Kingsbury Country Day School, featuring playful goats and cheerful chickens.

Exciting news! Kingsbury’s animal friends have returned to campus! Maple the goat and her adorable baby, along with 4 chickens, are now calling KCDS home once again.

In 2019, a Kingsbury family and owners of Upland Hills Farm had a wonderful idea in transforming an old shed on campus into a small animal barn. With their passion and hard work, we built a partnership with their farm that brought animals to our school, enriching our students’ learning experience and creating a unique connection to nature.

This special addition to Kingsbury allows students to experience hands-on learning about animal care and responsibility. Whether it’s feeding the chickens, observing Maple and her baby, or simply enjoying their presence, the animals bring joy and excitement to our school community. The students are currently in a penny-war for the chance to name Maple’s baby. Stay tuned for the reveal!

We’re grateful for the families who helped make this happen and for our continued relationship with Upland Hills Farm. Stay tuned for updates as our students engage with these wonderful creatures throughout the year!
